Imagined worlds or paracosms I have an imagined world (sometimes called a "paracosm"), which I began when I was about ten years old.  I still have it and I still go there most days.  It has developed a lot over the decades, but it remains recognisably the same place with many of the same characters.  It is rather like having my own private soap opera, and I am now trying to write it in the form of a novel.  I should very much like to hear from anyone who had or has a paracosm or who has studied them.  I am especially interested in how people might use or might have used paracosms as a resource in their lives, and also in trying to counter any tendency to pathologise this type of activity.
